Nest China Collection

Hi y’all and welcome back to the blog! This week we are continuing with our series on china. This week's collection is our nest china collection. This collection comes in three different patterns, making it a fun and unique option for any event! All three are eight inches in size, making them a wonderful choice for appetizers, salad or dessert plates.

Gold Coupe Plate

Let's start with the gold coupe plate. This plate features beautiful gold circles around the border of the plate, resembling a bird's nest, hinting to the collection's name. The gold coupe is the most understated plate in the nest collection. By combining a beautiful border with a blank center, it’s guaranteed to make any food selection pop. It can be paired with our gold arrezzo or savoy silverware as well as our sentry silver silverware.

Jackie Plate

Next is the jackie plate. This plate features an intricate pattern of gold ovals and diamonds throughout the plate. This elegant design gives a nod to the inspiration for it’s name, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Like its inspiration, this plate design is classic and will stand the test of time. Similar to the gold coupe plate, the jackie can be used in a multitude of ways. This plate pairs beautifully with our arrezzo or savoy silverware collections.

The Farrah Plate

The final option in the nest collection is the farrah plate. This plate features a gold and white featherlike pattern throughout the plate. The pattern was inspired by Farrah Fawcett's infamous hairstyle. The combination of thick and thin feature shapes give the design a sense of movement, making a beautiful plate both when food is placed on the plate or when the food is cleared. Again, the farrah is another versatile plate that can be used at any event. This plate also pairs well with the arrezzo or savoy silverware collections.

A great feature of the nest collection is that all three plates coordinate and can be mixed and matched within the nest collection or with many of our other china collections. This gives our client numerous options to create a unique tablescape for any event! We have used this collection of plates at weddings, corporate events, showers and more. We would love to know, how would you use the nest china collection?

Till next time.

Cheers!

Heirloom China Collection

Hey y’all and welcome back to the SOHO blog! This week we are continuing our series on china collections we have at SOHO. This week we are going to discuss our heirloom china collection.

The heirloom plates come in three colors; blush, smoke, and black. This beautiful collection can be mixed and matched with other pieces within the collection. It includes a dinner plate, 8” salad plate, and a 6” dessert plate.

Heirloom Black.jpg

Let’s start by discussing the black plates. This color option is beautiful for modern events that are looking to do something different in terms of their china selections. You can choose to use all pieces in the black or you can mix it with smoke or blush options as well. We love to see it paired with our black capri silverware. This color works well for winter or fall events.

The smoke collection is our gray offering in the heirloom china. This color is one of the most versatile in the heirloom collection. You can mix the smoke with other colors from the heirloom collection or other china collections including the amalfi and the antoinette. The smoke will also go with many of our silverware collections, from the black capri to sentry, your options are numerous. The smoke color can also be used in all four seasons.

The blush collection is a fun color offering in the heirloom collection. It is most popular for spring and summer events, playing off the colors and elements of the season. Again this color can be mixed with the black or smoke colors of the heirloom collection, but it can also be mixed with other china collections. We love it with the gold rim collection, or the nest collection. Similar to the smoke color, the blush also pairs well with numerous silverware collections.

As you can see, the heirloom collection is a great collection of china to begin building your place setting from. It is versatile and can be used with pieces from other china collections and be paired with many different silverware collections. Your overall design scheme and season will guide you in selecting which color in the collection to use for your event. If you are wanting to make a bold statement, incorporating the black heirloom collections will help you achieve this. If you are looking to coordinate your plate with the colors of your florals, maybe the blush or smoke heirloom collections are the right fit for you. Because this collection is versatile, you can get creative with your place settings.

Antoinette & Amalfi China Collections

Hey y’all and welcome back to the blog! This week we are continuing our china series with a discussion of some of our china collections, the antoinette and amalfi china collections. Each of these collections have beautiful details while still remaining versatile.

Let's start with our antoinette collection. We carry these plates in four different colors; rose, blue, purple and green. This collection includes a dinner plate, salad plate and bread and butter plate options. Most of the antoinette features gold detailing throughout the design of the plates. The center features a floral motif framed in gold. This allows for the floral motif to stand out against the white background.

These plates look beautiful when the colors are mixed and matched. For example, the rose dinner plate and purple salad plate look great together. Or the blue dinner plate with the rose salad plate and blue bread and butter plate. This collection looks beautiful at smaller events, such as; brunches, teas, and showers. It brings a beautiful and feminine look while still remaining classic. The antoinette collection will coordinate with many different flatware collections, but we love it with our gold savoy flatware. Add in some beautiful goblets and you have a beautiful place setting to wow your guests.

Now let's discuss the amalfi collection! Our amalfi china is named after a beautiful Seaside region of Italy, featuring vibrant colored buildings and turquoise blue waters. They come in three distinct plate sizes, including: a 10” dinner plate, an 8” salad plate, and B&B plate. These plates are beautiful turquoise patterns with gold accents, playing off the colors of its namesake. Because this collection comes in a few different pieces, you have the freedom to use all three plates or mix and match pieces from other china collections.

We love to see these plates used for many different events, from weddings and luncheons, to dinner parties and corporate events. The collection itself is a beautiful statement and will impress any guest with its details. Our amalfi collection works at events in any season and looks wonderful at both indoor and outdoor venues.

Both the antoinette and amalfi collections can be used with many of our flatware and glassware collections. We often pair both collections with our arrezzo or savoy flatware collections, bringing out the gold accents in the china. We also love to bring in a blush or cornflower blue goblet to coordinate with these china collections. There are many ways to incorporate these china collections into your event!

We want to know, which collection is your favorite and what event would you use it for?

Till next time, Cheers!
